By-Law Changes

Proposed change of Post 33 Constitution dated Mar 2014.
Read at March Meeting; Vote on changes at April Meeting; Results-Effective 2024 elections
Current Constitution:
Article V – Officers
Section 6a. Voting shall be by printed secret ballot, and a ballot box, properly supervised by the Post members in good standing, shall be available from 8:30 A.M. to 8:30 P.M. on the day of the election. The candidate or candidates receiving the highest number of votes shall be elected to the respective office or offices for which they are candidates.


Change: (in bold italics)

TO 9:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. on the day of the election. Current By-Laws:
Article XIV – Limitation of Service of Commander
Section 1. Post Commander will be a two-year term, with an election for Commander on the end of his two year term. Post commander can run for office of Commander at the end of his term, there will be no limitation of the length of office of the Commander.

Change: (DELETE Article XIV)

Section 1. Post Commander will be a two one year term. with an election for Commander on the end of his two-year term. Post commander can run for office of Commander at the end of his term, there will be no limitation of the length of office number of terms of the Commander.

 

Constitution & By-Laws

 Constitution and By-Laws 2014 are now in effect.

The Constitution and By-Laws revisions have been approved by the State Adjutant as are now being printed for distribution, once they arrive at our post we will post the arrival on our Web page so you may come in and get a new copy. Once again Thank You goes out to the Committee for their effort to bring our post up to date on the changes needed for our post.
